Digging into his web site code and I found the USAjobsPlus scattered through out. I don't know if he is trying to also use the site to collect victims' Personal Info like Date of Birth (DOB) and Social Security Number (SSN).
NameCheap.com Hosting Scammer
It appears that after BlueHost shut him down he moved hosting services. He now appears to be using NameCheap.com. I have noticed that they are used by multiple scammers over the past few years.https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=forusajobs.com
I see that the domain was created on 2018-11-27
It appears that the scammer is hiding his identity on this new domain. He has learned from his previous experience.
I see he has also registered the domain fourusajobs.net

ReplyDeleteI suspect all the job posting and aggregation services share information. Just like Facebook, they are in the business of making money by selling data. They probably do not make an effort to validate who they sell the data to.

Each "job lead" actually ended up paired with a completely different job occupation (for example a job in marketing led you to jobs in the nursing field (OH yeah, THAT'S a good match!) Just block the b***ards and spread the word to your friends and colleagues.

ReplyDeleteGot the exact same Mary Grace email today-different dates and 217 jobs now. Immediately seemed strange to me. There was some "Nigerian scammer" phraseology that threw me. I never even looked at the website. Came here first. I'm sure they've had plenty of clicks, though. Thanks for the confirmation.

I just got the same email. It felt suspicious since I haven't used this site and I am sure they are trying to trick people into thinking they are USAJOBS. Their site also shows them to barely be a few months old which isn't a good sign. They got my name and position correct so they probably got my info from LinkedIn, Indeed, or Zip Recruiter since nowhere else do I have my name and position listed.

After scanning the letter I decided to google the domain name and see what came up and came across your post. So glad I did. SCAM!

Some agents/recruiters sharing peoples information with these scammers. The real USAJOBS has a dot gov extension. They can never get the government domain registered. Just delete such mails. Do not respond nor click on the link provided in the mail.

I have a background in Information Security, so I am suspicious of every email lol. My spam filter usually spots them but now and then one gets thru. I had never heard of the person sending the email, so I didn't open it, but did hover over the name and got the fully qualified "marygrace@forusajobs.com", so I googled "forusajobs.com" and found it was indeed a scam. We should not even open these emails - malware can be triggered simply by opening infected emails sometimes. If it looks fishy, skip it.
